(Local motto: "85 365" [degrees/days] )   The beach is only 5 miles long but it’s crescent shaped.  If you stretch it out it’s a bit over 5 miles but they still call it "Seven Mile Beach".  I’m standing knee deep in the water in front of my office (200 feet from where I’m typing this) in the ‘my photo’ shot…  Photo was taken on location by Brian Smith. The main-page ‘runway’ banner shot was taken from the cockpit jump seat of a Gulfstream 450 on final approach to Owen Roberts International on a flight in 2007 home from SNA (4.6 hrs)
