Christmas Vacation

Christmas Vacation

Folks it’s time for me to recharge the batteries..  I’ll be leaving the blog today so that I have some time to wrap up a few left-over items..  then I take to the skies for my Christmas vacation..  I’ll try to upload some shots from the trip and stop in to post if anything major comes up but barring that, you will need to get your daily domain fix from one of the many new outlets for industry related news and info..  see the blogroll at left ;)

I’m gonna miss you guys..  I wish you all a safe and happy New Year with much domain prosperity in 2008 …  It’s going to be a very exciting year.

I’ve been using the Internet since about 93, before the web was more than a couple of pages wide.

I’ve owned websites (and domain names) since the late nineties, and it wasn’t until this year that I really learned how to put all that into one big Internet perspective.

Thanks for taking the time to share your wisdom with the community this year, I’ve really enjoyed reading seven mile.

I think I’ve made some good progress this year, and I hope that 2008 will be the year of my first category killer .com :)

    Happy travels!

  9. Ramiro says:

  16. i remember you saying something about youtube being powerful and you really didnt understand its power.
Kenya <– where i am from just had its elections, and where are all the election videos that show violence and interviews from local politicians coming from.. well observe here

that has become one of the most viewed channels on youtube this month. Showing the You that is kenyans online. I think people in general underestimate video. They are soo into ppc and forget about video. people with few type in domains and merge video to comlement that traffic could make 7 times more what they are making with ppc… maybe, maybe not. What says you ??

  17. Allan Dow says:

    Hi Frank

I read your bio in DNJ. Heart warming at this time of year…I’m from the Lower mainland too. Similar upbringing to you and also living abroad for many years as well (Europe and now Asia).

Nothing smart to say unfortunately – I have around 40 or so very specific generic names and am as convinced today as I was when I registered them that they are the way forward. Thanks for carrying the flag, I’ll rally with you, and congratulations on your own success. Happy New Year.

  18. I read your blog almost daily. Have learned alot from you thanks! Have a great 2008

Ok, dude. Time to end your vacation and start blogging again! There are some good new blogs that have popped up and have kept us reading these last few weeks, but yours is still the best.

Best wishes for a great 2008!
