whats the deal with you and taxi drivers. I am an avid fan of your blog and drive a F#$#king taxi.

Dont belittle taxi drivers, we choose that profession cause of the free time that it affords me to purse other avenues of making money without bothering with time clocks.
So trust me you dont want to take a taxi in raleigh N.c cause i am a domainer and a taxi driver. heheheheh Dont discriminate homi
Peace… Love your blog by the way, but lay off the taxi drivers, we make sure you get home safely, and you give us relevant content. heheh
***FS*** Hey I love the Taxi driver.. the only man/woman who truly have their finger on the pulse of the economy. When they know something.. it’s the gospel.. hence making them the foil in my story.
amen to that brother, i envy your position, but my god that Kevin ham what does he have against the world. I mean people are all buzzing about porn or sex.com going for a million bucks, but this ham guy owns every goddamn if not all .cm extensions. Meaning he is worthy close to 5 billion dollars. Seriously. God i love it when people are as ignorant as they are today. Why do i love that, a little guy like me can come in see the opportunity and if i sacrifice about 2 years 10 years from now when all my college going friends(no pun intended) are busy making mortage payments on the picket fence gated neighbourhoods, i bet i will have the luxury of doing anything i want.
Now Mr frank. I only drink that seven shot. Send me a rumcake for christmas. YOu got my email
Say hi to the wife and kids.
Power to you frank, seriously..even though i have an ugly .info i bought that when i was still drinking shoemoney juice.
I’m starting an anti-social networking site. It’s for those who like to stand in the corner and not talk to people. Your profile will be invisible and it will be completely anonymous. Since adding “friends” will be irrelevant, the interface will be easy to maintain. Now I just need a good domain name. Is InvisibleSpace.com taken?
Frank, it’s everybody going wild with Social Networking. I totally agree. There are way too many to survive. I saw what happened in 1999 with tech stocks. You better put some of your own content on the site too, and figure out a plan to make money besides advertising at some point. If your traffic is amazing, you’re in, if not, you’re out. Facebook was the top for social networking.

I think social networks will go Vertical – sites like Teacherspace.com or HotRodSpace.com whatever – just being social isn’t enough – it’s easier to find “friends” when everyone in the room already has a common interest.
I don’t know if it’s the end of social networking – people love to communicate with like-minded people, always have, always will. It’ll always be around in some form or another – someone will always come up with a fresh twist on it.
YOur comment about the taxi driver was hilarious.
I don’t think (today) that specific field social networking sites have so much future. Why? well, I live in England. A lot of these people seem to have some problems to relate to each other, except when they get drunk. (not all of them, there is great people around, only too many of them do get drunk and have these social “issues”)
Thus, people are really into social networking here. (check stats for Facebook penetration in the UK and you’ll see what I mean)
For what I see, a lot of this people, the ones fuelling today the social websites are
1) students
2) people who don’t have much of a life, thus have time to add friends, add applications, etc…
Many of these people without much of a life are single and looking for partners. Many of them don’t like their jobs. But many of them also are into it to meet new people.
So, would the ones who hate their 9 to 5 job spend their time off with their co-workers or similar people? I doubt it.
Will they, or the others, or the students for that matter be interested to meet people (read potential partners) who are or work doing exactly what they do? I doubt it
Niche social networking has its place, no doubt people may be part of it. But I see it more logical that people will be part of a site where people gather around a hobby, rather than around a profession (as the teachers example from AJ).
Yes, “it’s easier to find “friends” when everyone in the room already has a common interest.”, but that may be exactly the opposite of what most people want…

Javier,
The social networking space arent businesses or websites. They are simply defined as “trends”. As for your comment about people who have no life and are hanging out on the social networking sites..Well unfortunately the world looks at it differently. I find a site tell 10 friends who in turn tell 10 other friends. Why do I tell them? Because I found something interesting..”word of mouth”? The trend is not that people without a life hang out on these sites rather they have the ability to display themselves and that is exactly why it has attracted the younger generation.
Myspace..Facebook are merely a tool to find friends, partner(s), business opportunities etc etc. How you use them defines the purpose of social networking. And that being said, the current sites are just a trend. There will be something else tommorow.
