Not sure where to post this but wanted to share this and ask a general question:
WHY? WHY? WHY? Is ICANN permitted to cyber-squat on the single letter domains? This to me is BULL$HIT!!! They ARE squatting – this is Cyber-land thus making them a CYBER-SQUATTER!!!
I recently inquired for the 15th billion time (rough # probably in the double digits actually) – as to WHY I am not allowed to purchase a single letter domain – HOWEVER – Paypal/Ebay owns “x.com” and Nissan owns “z.com” this is F’ing crap!
They wrote back to me and stated that they cannot release those unless under certain circumstances. Um so that means I have to be ebay or nissan or some other giant corporation powerhouse to get my hands on one of those?
Personally put them out on auction – that’s fair. Let someone or everyone including the big companies have their day to bid on these fair and straight up instead of reserving these for the select few – becuase that’s what’s going on here – IMO!!!
I mean I wrote back becuase i want to know what constitutes a “special circumstance” – i will never hear back from them – ever. I was surprised that they wrote back once.
This whole thing just sits wrong with me. I mean I look at this as nothing more than trying to control (like the mafia does) and play favorites to big business/corporations. Yet they judge and rule against people like the face-book.com people or any others that you can go and look up on the site… i mean it’s classic bull$hit.
In my opinion – people there at that organization need to serve time – seriously – in the big house. They are doing nothing short or different than your common criminals/thugs.
Just figured I’d rant a bit about this – it really made me mad. I’m no big investor either – just a guy that sorta likes to dabble as a side hobby and keep up – but fair is fair across the board.
